Since the absorbent slurry in the absorption tower repeatedly circulates in contact with the flue gas through the circulation pump, the absorbent utilization rate is very high. The limestone/lime method is the most widely used FGD process in the world. For high-sulfur coal, the desulfurization rate can be more than 90%, and for low-sulfur coal, the desulfurization rate can be more than 95%.
The limestone-gypsum flue gas wet desulfurization process mainly needs to be equipped with: special absorption towers, conveyors, demisters, heat exchangers, etc., and auxiliary desulfurization mills for auxiliary production. The main function of desulfurization mill is to produce limestone and gypsum desulfurization powder, which is an indispensable equipment.
